kan någon förklara för mig vad "saliga äro det fattiga i anden" betyder eller står för ?

Saliga betyder lyckliga.  "Fattiga i Anden" är de som inser sitt behov av Gud och sin brist.

dvs.

Lyckliga är de som vet att de behöver Gud.
